Corporate Responsibility
Rifra’s commitment to the cultural and social fabric
Rifra Masterbatches views its corporate responsibility as an integral part of its corporate identity, not as a set of occasional initiatives. The relationship with stakeholders—people, customers, suppliers, local communities, institutional partners—is guided by a shared value logic: listening to needs and expectations, transforming them into concrete business actions while simultaneously generating positive impacts on the territory, the environment, and the people who interact with the company.
Within this perspective lies Rifra’s commitment to the cultural, social, healthcare, artistic, and sports fabric. Over the years, the company has chosen to allocate part of the value generated to organizations that promote music, theater, education, research and medical-scientific prevention, and grassroots sports, supporting associations, educational institutions, hospitals, and local sports clubs. Similarly, it supports organizations engaged in social solidarity and emergency management—including ANT, the Public Rescue Operations Center, and Civil Protection—and initiatives dedicated to safeguarding artistic and landscape heritage, such as those promoted by FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano, of which Rifra is a golden sponsor. These are complemented by research projects in healthcare and oncology that focus on patient care.

Sostenibilità

Ol’Kalou
Ol’Kalou Project
A special place is occupied by the Ol’Kalou project, an assistance and rehabilitation center in Kenya for children with motor disabilities. For nearly twenty years, Rifra has allocated to this initiative the budget traditionally reserved for Christmas gifts, contributing to support surgical interventions, physiotherapy programs, provision of prosthetics and braces, as well as the educational training of the young residents. Ol’Kalou represents much more than a donation for the company: it is an ongoing commitment that reflects the desire to go beyond the geographical boundaries of its business and to translate corporate culture into concrete acts of responsibility toward those living in vulnerable situations.
Professional growth of employees
Professional growth and inclusion
The same attention is devoted to the people who work at Rifra. The company invests systematically in the professional and personal growth of its employees through targeted onboarding policies, development paths defined by function, and a broad and continuous training offering that includes technical, managerial, and soft skills. Training on safety, sustainability, digitalization, and management tools is complemented by initiatives such as the Rifra Academy, which promote internal knowledge sharing and strengthen corporate culture. Diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusion are principles applied concretely: the company promotes a respectful work environment, values the contribution of different generations, encourages open dialogue and listening, guarantees protections regarding parental leave, and operates in full compliance with regulations on protected categories. The absence of discrimination reports from personnel confirms the validity of our management approach.
Occupational Health and Safety
An effective approach to workplace safety
Occupational health and safety represent another pillar of Rifra’s social responsibility. Through the certified management system and risk assessment document, the company systematically identifies and monitors risks related to production and service activities, adopting targeted preventive and protective measures. The role of the Employer, the Prevention and Protection Service Manager, the Competent Physician, and the Workers’ Safety Representative is supported by mandatory training programs and periodic updates for all personnel, widespread use of PPE, clear signage, and periodic evacuation drills. The absence of serious injuries and occupational diseases in the reporting period confirms the effectiveness of this approach.
